In this pivotal role, you’ll spearhead the expansion of our dealership network in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, strengthening partnerships and fostering new opportunities in these vital regions.
About the Role
As a BDM, you will take charge of identifying, developing, and supporting a robust network of dealerships. Your primary focus will be on Manitoba and Saskatchewan, with a secondary focus on supporting strategic growth initiatives in Alberta. Collaborating with internal teams in sales, marketing, and service, you will align efforts to maximize success and ensure exceptional outcomes for XCMG Canada Ltd. and our dealer partners.
Key Responsibilities
Dealer Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing dealerships.
- Act as the primary point of contact, addressing dealership needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Monitor dealership performance, providing tailored support to drive their success.
Dealer Acquisition
- Identify and evaluate potential dealerships aligned with XCMG’s growth objectives.
- Develop and execute strategies to onboard and nurture new dealerships.
- Conduct market research to uncover opportunities for growth in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Relationship Management
- Strengthen partnerships through proactive communication and engagement.
- Organize events and meetings to foster connections with dealership principals.
- Resolve issues promptly to ensure seamless operations and mutual success.
Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams to align strategies and achieve shared goals.
- Provide market insights and dealer feedback to improve product offerings and services.
Leadership and Administration
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, prepare performance reports, and analyze data to drive strategy.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales, territory, or account management.
- Proven background in business development or sales within the dealership or OEM sector of heavy construction equipment.
- Experience in machinery, heavy equipment, or dealership management preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills and CRM proficiency.
- Flexibility to travel regularly and work occasional weekends.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada and able to pass a criminal record check.
