In this dynamic role, you'll drive growth by managing and expanding relationships with existing dealerships, identifying and onboarding new ones, and fostering strong, productive partnerships.
About the Role
As a BDM, you’ll be at the forefront of our dealer network growth in Eastern Canada. Collaborating with internal teams like sales, marketing, and service, you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning efforts to achieve shared business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Dealer Management
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with existing dealerships.
- Serve as the primary contact, addressing dealership needs and concerns.
- Monitor dealership performance and provide support to enhance their success.
Dealer Acquisition
- Identify and assess potential dealerships aligned with our goals and values.
- Develop and implement strategies for onboarding new dealerships.
- Conduct market research to uncover growth opportunities.
Relationship Management
- Strengthen partnerships through consistent communication and support.
- Organize meetings and events to foster engagement with dealerships.
- Address and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to align efforts and achieve common objectives.
- Provide valuable insights from dealerships to improve offerings.
Leadership and Administration
- Mentor and guide team members to create a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, prepare reports, and analyze performance data.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in outside sales, territory, or account management.
- Background in machinery, heavy equipment, or dealership management preferred.
- Proven expertise in business development or sales within the dealership or OEM sectors.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills and CRM proficiency.
- Flexibility to travel and work occasional weekends.
- Eligibility to work in Canada and ability to pass a criminal record check.
