As a Parts Technician, you will be responsible for efficiently handling parts orders, including picking, packing, and preparing shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records. Your role also includes supporting store operations, restocking shelves, and operating forklifts to move parts, often lifting 30-50 lbs. You will oversee shipping, receiving, inspecting, documenting discrepancies and annual inventory while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will help resolve parts-related issues, provide quotations, and identify sales opportunities. Occasional in-town deliveries and other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager may be required.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Picking, packing, and preparing parts for delivery with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verifying and processing parts orders, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Assisting customers by recommending parts, sourcing, and handling inquiries with professionalism.
  • Managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and coordinating logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Receiving shipments, inspecting them for damages and discrepancies, and documenting any issues.
  • Restocking shelves, organizing inventory, and maintaining a safe and orderly workspace.
  • Operating forklifts and other equipment as needed for handling and moving parts.
  • Occasionally delivering parts within town as required.
  • Adhering to company safety standards and procedures, especially when handling hazardous materials.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of experience with construction equipment parts.
  • Journeyman Parts Technician Certificate.
  • Forklift operation experience and a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems, purchase orders, and invoicing.
  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs regularly and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

PHYSICAL & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Ability to frequently lift 30-50 lbs.
  • Flexibility with daytime hours and occasional weekend work.
  • Must pass a Criminal Record Check.
